Our friend Brett recommended a stopover in Abu Dhabi so we wouldn't hit Milan with massive jet lag. Good plan, Brett. We thoroughly enjoyed Abu Dhabi even though we slept through the middle of the day. Come afternoon it was time to hit the streets for a some exploring and a search for food. Sophie thought it was a little on the warm side at 32 and was amused when the manager of the restaurant in which we had dinner asked if we wanted the air conditioning turned off. Apparently 32 is quite cool for Abu Dhabi and he didn't want us catching a chill.
