Day 3: Mortara to Gropello

Sant Albino was a highlight of our trip so far. The first pic is with the warden of the church who stamped our pilgrim passports.

The next few pics are from our day's walk. We started early and enjoyed the misty morning which was cool. Wonderful scenery. By 10:30 things had warmed up and we were struggling with some blisters, the heat and trying to manage another longer day where our planned accommodation was not available. So when we completed our scheduled walk we took the bus 7kms to the Parish House in Gropello.

Tomorrow we head into Pavia, not so long and hopefully not so hot.

  1. Hi there all,

Great pictures! There early mornings were precious times for me. Sorry to hear about all the blisters. Laughed a lot at the literal translation of "Molto pelegrino", Lots of Pilgrim!!!!

Hope the blisters diminish. After the first few days I found I got into a rhythm, there is quite a rush to getting under way, etc.

Hope you continue to enjoy your walking.

    Pilgrim Andrew
